Habanero Tasmanian Chili
Tasmanian Habanero is a variety of Chinese pepper which is a member of the Capsicum family. Its botanical name is Capsicum chinense 'Tasmanian Habanero'. Tasmanian Habanero is a (open pollinated) variety.
This variety typically grows as an Annual/Perennial, which is defined as a plant that can matures and completes its lifecycle over the course of one year or more. Tasmanian Habanero is known for growing to a height of approximately 40 to 50cm. The peppers rate about 100,000 to 175,000 SHU.
Trinidad and Tobago is believed to be where Tasmanian Habanero originates from.
Tasmanian Habanero Chinese pepper is normally fairly low maintenance and quite easy to grow, as long as a level of basic care is provided throughout the year. Being aware of the basic soil, sun and water preferences will result in a happier and healthier plant.
